Jim Moeller

Jim spearheads some of the Maeson Group's operational components and manages several of our key client relationships. Before joining the Maeson Group, Jim served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at Walleye Capital, a mid-sized multi-strategy fund and investment adviser, where he led the firm's legal department, steering all legal affairs, and served on key management committees overseeing investment and compliance, among others. Prior to this, Jim served as Assistant General Counsel at Securian Asset Management (formerly known as Advantus Capital Management), a large institutional asset manager, where he played a pivotal part in overseeing legal and compliance matters, including development of programs for third party investment due diligence and oversight, product development, and compliance policy implementation. Jim started his career at Dorsey & Whitney, a large law firm headquartered in Minneapolis, representing private and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and emerging company matters. Jim holds a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and a Finance degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
